THE FAIRY TALE

Snow White is born on a winter's day, as the snow falls silently beyond the window of the royal palace. Her beauty, clear and luminous, grows with her, arousing admiration throughout the kingdom but igniting, in the heart of her stepmother , a subtle and corrosive envy. A proud queen , obsessed with her own reflection, she lives in anguish at losing her primacy in beauty. When the magic mirror proclaims Snow White "the fairest of them all," jealousy turns into cruelty: the wicked woman decides to eliminate her by having her taken into the woods, a place of confusion but also of possible rebirth. There she finds refuge in the small house of the seven dwarfs , simple and loyal men who offer her protection and a new form of family. Far from the court, Snow White finds a sincere peace, made of everyday gestures and trust. But the queen , disguised and deceitful, manages to reach her: the poisoned apple —bright, perfect, seductive—becomes a symbol of the appearance that conceals danger. With a single bite, the girl falls into a deep sleep, suspended between life and death. It will be love, in all its forms—that of the prince who awakens her with a kiss and that of the faithful dwarves who watch over her—that will break the spell and bring light where envy had attempted to impose shadow.

Snow White represents a silent warning: envy and vanity consume the soul of those who cultivate them, transforming light into shadow. What appears perfect can conceal poison, and beauty, devoid of goodness, is emptied of meaning. But the fairy tale also whispers a luminous truth: purity, kindness, and love—in all their forms—possess a power greater than hate. It is goodness, preserved and shared, that restores light where it seemed lost.
