AUTHOR'S WORK
LACQUERED BOX
Large in format and with extraordinary visual intensity, this work depicts the suspended encounter between the hero and the Firebird , a symbol of light, good luck, destiny and conquest.
The richness of the gold, the depth of the black background, and the breadth of the composition make it a dominant presence: thus, decorative richness and scenic balance elevate it beyond miniature, transforming it into an absolute presence.

ANALYSIS OF THE WORK
The composition is structured around a very clear scenic verticality: the gaze begins from the aquatic and rocky landscape below, ascends along the figure of the hero, and culminates in the luminous explosion of the Firebird , the true visual fulcrum of the entire surface. The gesture of the outstretched hand does not describe a violent action, but a moment of suspension : the instant in which desire and destiny meet, before conquest. The contrast between the lacquered black background and incandescent hues (oranges, reds, golds) amplifies the apparitional effect: the bird seems to emerge from the darkness like a living flame, while the vegetation and foliage, dotted with light, create a natural frame that channels the gaze upward. In the background, the fairy-tale architecture and the watercourse open up depth and narrative: they act as narrative coordinates that place the scene in an epic and remote world.
The balance is refined: the luminous mass of the Firebird corresponds to the stability of the human figure, placed diagonally on a terrain that almost seems to slope, suggesting movement and tension. The result is a dynamic yet controlled scene, where every detail—leaves, waves, feathers, branches—works to create a continuous rhythm.
The gold ornamentation (dense scrolls and minute motifs) framing the work is not just a border: it is a seal of preciousness that declares the object's vocation to be contemplated as a work of art. Even the functional elements—profiles, hinges, lock—are integrated into a coherent decorative logic, transforming the box into a single, compact, and solemn aesthetic field.
