THE FAIRY TALE
Geppetto, a humble woodcarver, carves a wooden puppet that magically comes to life. He names him Pinocchio and raises him as a son, wishing to see him become an honest and responsible boy. Lively, curious, and naive, Pinocchio, however, is easily seduced by promises of a life without rules. He meets the Cat and the Fox, who deceive him with the mirage of the Field of Miracles; he is lured to the Land of Toys, where duty-free fun turns boys into donkeys; he faces trials, mistakes, and dangers, until he finds himself in the belly of a giant shark. It is there that he finds Geppetto again, who had been imprisoned for a long time. Together they manage to escape, and Pinocchio finally understands the value of love, sacrifice, and responsibility. Through his commitment, work, and sincere desire to become better, he proves that he has changed. The Blue Fairy, recognizing his maturity, transforms the puppet into a real boy, rewarding the journey that led him from naivety to awareness.
"Pinocchio teaches that growing up means learning from one's mistakes and taking responsibility for one's actions. Sincerity, commitment, and respect for those who love us are the values that transform naivety into maturity. It is not the nature with which one is born that defines who we are, but the choices we make along life's journey."
